Work From Home Setup
Done Right
How to arrange your desk to work long hours without "ruining your health"
If you're starting to experience symptoms like
👉 Neck pain / Shoulder stiffness
👉 Lower back pain after work
👉 Needing to get up often because you're uncomfortable
"This is not normal for work, but a sign that your 'Work From Home Setup is wrong'."
This article will help you rearrange everything to make your work genuinely more comfortable.

Work From Home Station that you “Should Have”
1.1 Desk (Recommended: Electric height-adjustable desk)
- Adjustable height → Alternate between sitting/standing
- Reduces pressure on the back and hips
- Increases flexibility throughout the day
👉 If you only sit = very high risk of Office Syndrome
1.2 Ergonomic Chair (The most important component)
- Supports spinal posture
- Has Lumbar Support (supports the lower back)
- Adjustable height / recline / armrests
👉 A bad chair = even if the desk is good, it's still a loss
1.3 Monitor Arm
- Adjusts monitor level to "eye level"
- Reduces neck craning
1.4 Essential Accessories
- Footrest
- Separate keyboard + mouse
- Wrist rest
Long Sitting vs. Alternating Standing, Which is Better?
The answer is: 👉 “Alternating sitting and standing is best”
❌ Long Sitting
- Puts pressure on the lower back
- Poor blood circulation
- Risk of chronic pain
❌ Standing All Day
- Leg fatigue
- Knee / Foot pain
✅ The Best Method
- Sit 30 minutes
- Stand 30 minutes
- Move / Stretch for 10 minutes
👉 This is the principle known as
“Dynamic Working”

⚠️ Most Important Thing If You Don't Want to Damage Your Health
Even if you have all the equipment, using it "incorrectly" will still cause pain.
✔️ Check these 5 points:
- Monitor level = Eye level. No looking down or up. Align with the screen or no more than 20 degrees below.
- Back fully supported, not hunched or overly arched.
- Feet flat on the floor, not dangling or on tiptoes.
- Arms comfortably resting, shoulders not shrugged, with armrests at a 90-degree angle or L-shape.
- "Move around". Don't sit still all day. Alternate between sitting and standing.

“Many people change only their chair... and symptoms decrease by more than 50%”
Because the chair is where your body makes contact for the “longest time”.
